Taskmaster, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuted in the 2021 film Black Widow. This version of Taskmaster is Antonia Dreykov, the daughter of General Dreykov, head of the Red Room.
During a mission where Natasha Romanoff targeted Dreykov, Antonia was caught in an explosion meant to kill Dreykov. Severely injured and presumed dead, Antonia was saved and subjected to brainwashing and cybernetic enhancements by her father.
This process transformed her into the ultimate weapon, Taskmaster. She became a highly skilled combatant capable of perfectly mimicking the fighting styles of others by observing them. Taskmaster served as Dreykov's enforcer, controlled through technology until freed by Natasha and Yelena Belova.
